About Women in Motion

Women in Motion of High Point is a volunteer-led initiative of the High Point Community Foundation formed to enable women, and men, to combine charitable donations and provide significant grants focused on the critical needs of women, children and families living in the greater High Point community, including Archdale, Trinity, Thomasville and Jamestown. By supporting philanthropic activity and leveraging community collaboration through Women in Motion, we envision a community where women and girls:

  • Have the knowledge, opportunity, and self-determination to be economically secure
  • Have opportunity to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential
  • Learn about and experience the value of philanthropy and nonprofit leadership

Facts taken from The Status of Women in Guilford County, NC as determined by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research.

In politics, if you want anything said, ask a man; if you want anything done, ask a woman.
