A Night of Surprise, Celebration, and Empowerment: Titan Link Receives 2025 Women in Motion Grant

The room was buzzing with anticipation at our Women in Motion Grant Celebration on August 13. Thirteen inspiring organizations applied this year, and the finalists were Titan Link at GTCC and The Oaks Community. But as always, the winner was a secret—until the big reveal.

When Titan Link was announced as the $10,000 grant recipient, Natashia McEachern, Director of Titan Link, and Sybil Newman, the program’s founder, were visibly shocked and thrilled. The moment captured the joy, pride, and community spirit that make Women in Motion so special.

Titan Link is GTCC’s centralized student support hub, helping students overcome non-academic barriers like housing insecurity, food access, transportation, childcare, and emergency needs. By removing these obstacles, Titan Link empowers students to stay enrolled, succeed academically, and reach their long-term goals.

The Women in Motion grant will strengthen Titan Link’s efforts by providing targeted resources and mentorship for a small group of referred women students. Empowerment-focused workshops, wellness programming, and peer connections will create a supportive environment where women can grow personally and professionally. This collaboration reflects GTCC’s mission of People, Pathways, and Partnerships—intentionally supporting diverse women as they build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills.

Women in Motion is more than a program—it’s about passing the baton. Each woman equipped to rise lifts others along the way. Together, Titan Link and Women in Motion will help ensure GTCC’s women students aren’t just surviving college—they’re thriving in it and beyond.

This impact is made possible entirely by our members. Every membership contributes to the giving pool that fuels this meaningful work, showing the power of community and shared commitment to women’s growth.
