Join Us in Making a Difference: Announcing the 2024 Women in Motion Grant Awardee

Updated: Sep 25

At Women in Motion, we believe in the power of community and the collective impact we can make when we come together. This year, we are thrilled to announce Sisters of Hope NC Inc. as the recipient of our 2024 Women in Motion Grant!

Sisters of Hope NC Inc. embodies our mission by supporting women through whole-life recovery, coaching, mentorship, and workshops, helping them transition from difficult circumstances to better lives. They aim to "Help Other People Excel (HOPE) with support and love."

This grant, made possible entirely by our members, is a testament to the power of community giving. A portion of each member’s dues goes into a collective giving pool, which directly funds this initiative. It’s through this commitment that we can make a real and lasting impact in the lives of women in our community.

The process of selecting our grant recipient begins with an open call for proposals, which our dedicated Grants Committee carefully reviews and vets. This group of women narrows down the semifinalists, and then all of our members have a say, voting on the final recipient. We were proud to have The Sister Circle International as the other semifinalist this year. Their work in empowering women through prayer, accountability, and personal development has been a constant source of inspiration, and we encourage you to continue supporting them as well.

If you’d like to be part of this impactful movement, whether by becoming a member of Women in Motion or by contributing as a Vision Investor, we invite you to join us in making a real difference. Membership isn’t just about access to programs and events—it’s about giving back. Together, we amplify the power of our contributions and create opportunities for more women to succeed.

As we reflect on this year’s winner, we are also proud to remember our past recipients, such as West End Ministries, Leslie's House the 2023 awardee, whose On-Site Counseling Program provides free counseling to empower women. In 2022, we supported the High Point Police Department’s Women’s Empowerment Institute (WEI), which helps women build success in both their professional and personal lives.

Each year, from July 1 to June 30, our members fuel the next cycle of giving. The call for proposals for the 2025 grant will be issued in May, and we can’t wait to see who will be next to make a lasting impact on our community.

Thank you to our members for making this possible!
